Lion Rock / Sigiriya

Sigriya is located in cultural triangle and it is world heritage. Sigiriya was built by king Kashyapa in 5th century BC and it has used as his kingdom of king Kashyapa.
Visitors to the palace have to enter through a stone stairway that takes them into lion’s mouth and throat. The technology of this marvelous creation is wonderful. Which are reminiscent of the Ajanta Caves of India. There are water tanks, gardens, the paintings of female figures still available in top of the rock.
